Battle Ground Village Holiday Shoppe & Bazaar
Battle Ground Village Holiday Shoppe & Bazaar
Battle Ground Village is hosting a Holiday Shoppe & Bazaar this 2013 holiday season. The Shoppe, located near Blue Castle Coffee and across the parking lot from Bone's Restaurant, will be offering a wide variety of quality, handmade products including wooden toys and furniture, jewelry, paintings, specialty foods, memory books, and treats, such as roasted nuts and chocolate.
The Shoppe is open between 10am – 5pm, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, beginning November 7th, running through December 14th. The Shoppe will be closed on Thanksgiving Day.
This is the third year Battle Ground Village has opened its doors to a retail-type Holiday Shoppe. Last year, the Shoppe was a huge hit with customers, as well as the vendors.
Come visit the Village's Holiday Shoppe to find that special, one-of-a-kind gift. We look forward to seeing you there!

This Saturday is Art in the Park at BG Village!
BATTLE
GROUND VILLAGE OUTDOOR MARKET HOSTS
‘ART IN THE PARK’, September
7th
Everyone
is invited to bring their art of any kind:
photographs,
sculptures, paintings, fashion, writing.
If
you are a budding, or seasoned, artist (of any age) and would like to
display and sell your heartfelt artwork, then Saturday, September 7th
at the Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market is your opportunity!
There will be tents and tables set up in Central Park for
participants to use free
of charge;
of course, if you have a lot of items, please bring your own table
and/or easels.
“My
children are excited to bringing out their canvases and photographs
to ‘show-off’ and sell,” says Jennifer Riddle, Market Director.
“I am looking forward to watching them describe their ‘creative
process’ to visitors. I am also looking forward to seeing all the
wonderfully imaginative artwork from local residents.”
“Art
in the Park” opens at 10am and runs through 3pm. If you are
interested in participating in the event, just bring your items to
the Central Park area and find an open space to display your work.
The Battle Ground Art Alliance will also have an information booth at
the Market. Beth Johnson-Burger, the President of the Alliance, will
be there handing out information about the non-profit organization,
their upcoming Studio Tour on September 14th,
and answering any questions.
“The
Battle Ground Art Alliance is a place for new and experienced artists
in the area to network and create friendships,” explains
Johnson-Burger. “The Alliance is not media specific, so we connect
with photographers, sculptors, writers, painters, and designers.”
“Art
in the Park” is a great occasion for developing artists of all ages
to present their work, connect with other artists in the area, and
receive feedback.
Visitors
to the Market will be able to view the art, as well as stroll through
the Market, where returning produce vendors and nurseries, Yacolt
Mountain Farm and Nursery, Charter Oak Farm, Hill’s Naturally
Grown, Jacki’s Heirloom Garden, Five Sprout Farm, and ZK Flowers
and Produce will be selling produce and flowers ripe and blooming for
the season.
“We
are family and pet friendly, with live local musicians and kid
activities, like face painting and pony rides. It’s a perfect place
to spend a Saturday afternoon--shopping, eating, relaxing and
listening to music,” explains Susan Walters, Market Manager.
A list of vendors, details of all the Market events, and special happenings, including what is coming up in September, is located on the Battle Ground Village website: www.bgvillage.com.
Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market hours are from 10am-3pm every Saturday through September 28th, rain or shine. Parking is free and is easily accessible. If you are interested in becoming a vendor, the registration forms are on the Battle Ground Village website.

BATTLE GROUND VILLAGE’S OUTDOOR MARKET INVITES
ARTISANS, FARMERS
AND FOOD CARTS TO REGISTER FOR 2013 SEASON
2013 will
mark the fifth year Battle Ground Village has organized an Outdoor Market at
its location, and it gets bigger and better every year. There is still room for
vendors. Battle Ground Village encourages anyone interested in vending to visit
their website for registration and more information: www.bgvillage.com, or contact Susan Walters, Market
Manager, at 360-608-9778.
The season
is every Saturday, beginning April 27th through September 28th.
There are events planned for every weekend, with live music and family
entertainment. The Opening Day event is a Home and Garden Fair. A few of the
other events planned for the summer are: Flowers for a Cause (a benefit for
RockSolid), Mother’s Day at the Market, Armed Forces Celebration Day, Recycle
Fair, Kid’s Day, Public Service Day, Health & Wellness Event, Slo Pok’s Car
Club Cruise-In, and two Community Garage Sales.
“We have an
event planned for every weekend!” says Susan Walters, Market Manager. “We want Battle
Ground Village’s Outdoor Market to be THE place to bring your family and
friends on Saturdays. Shop, eat, listen to music, and, if you have children,
watch them enjoy bouncing on the bounce house, getting their face painted, or
engaging in a craft or activity.”
Registration
is open and the fees are incredibly reasonable, especially if you sign up as a
Full-Time Vendor. Full-Time Vendors will have the opportunity to choose their
space, which will be theirs for the whole season. If requested, electricity is
available on a first come, first serve basis, at no extra cost. There is also
the option to be a Part-Time or Casual Vendor. The Market is also encouraging
any non-profit organizations to sign up and participate, free of charge.
“We look
forward to reconnecting with the vendors from years past and welcoming new
vendors to the Outdoor Market,” says Jennifer Riddle, Market Coordinator. “Our
terrific vendors are helpful and excited to be there and are what make the
Battle Ground Village Outdoor Market stand out. They support and inspire
community.”
Please visit
www.bgvillage.com to learn more, register, and pay (via paypal) for your space
at the Outdoor Market.
