FESTIVITIES
Outdoor
Market open until 4pm, Bone’s Steakhouse Wine, Brews and BBQ Too!
Battle
Ground Village is excited to join in the Harvest Days festivities this weekend.
A variety of fun, family-oriented pastimes are going to take place this
Saturday, July 21st. The fun continues in to Sunday with the annual
Harvest Days Run.
Battle
Ground Village’s Outdoor Market on Saturday will be having extended hours,
until 4pm, and many of the vendors are remaining open until 7:30pm.
“The weather
is supposed to be beautiful and I for one am thrilled to stay open all day on
Harvest Days weekend,” says Don Clark, woodcrafter and Village vendor. “The
town will be buzzing with excitement.”
Bone’s
Steakhouse will be hosting a Wine, Brews and BBQ Too! Event with $2 dollar
beers and a BBQ menu fit for Harvest Days, from 4-8pm on Saturday. There will
be live folk rock, blues and country music from local band, The AcoustaCats. Seating
for families will be available at the Wine, Brews and BBQ Too! Event.
Once 7:00pm
rolls around, families and couples will be selecting their spot on the
Village’s Park Pavilion for Movies in the Park.
A few short children’s cartoons will begin around 8:45pm, and the
feature, James Cameron’s Avatar, will
start at dusk.
“Folks like
to come early for dinner and dessert and to find the best spot for the movie,”
explains Mike Stone, Battle Ground Village manager. “We ask that visitors bring
blankets or low back chairs, so everyone has a good view of the screen.”
The
following morning will bring over 650 runners and supporters to the Battle
Ground Village for the annual Harvest Days Run. There will be a Half Marathon,
8K and a 2 mile Family Run/Walk. Please check Get Bold Events website for more
details on times, www.getboldevents.com. The Harvest Days Run post-party is
sure to be spirited with a live DJ, food and drinks from Bone’s Steakhouse and
Laurelwood Public House & Brewery, giveaways, and vendors.
